As a Londoner it is only natural for me to to be drawn to the River Thames. It is a place that I always return to when contemplating new ideas. Many artists have painted it throughout history and I feel that I am taking part in an honoured tradition to capture the many views, colours and scenes that are created by this wonderful stretch of water. The images in this collection feature a river surrounded by the urban life and colour of the capital but there are also views of the river from outside London. Indeed some of the most evocative views - for me at least - come from places like Kemble in Gloucestershire, where this mighty river starts its life as a humble stream.
